Well, after lots of stops and starts we finally have a Test Championship final to crown the first Test Champion of the World. The tournament format itself has been debated to death, further complicated by COVID — but I think we can all agree that the 2 best teams probably made it to the finals. None of these teams have the gravitas of the Windies team or Aussie teams of yore, but they are deservedly in the finals. Australian fans, get over it, just winning Ashes doesn’t get you to the WTC finals!
